From mailings over web pages to sales brochures ... all publications at Crestron are prepared in American English. "We entrust ELAN with the translation into Dutch, British English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. They employ a dedicated team of native translators and proofreaders," says Jurgen. "This is crucial, because it ensures that each translation contains our professional and preferred terms. Thanks to ELAN’s translation memories, these terms are systematically applied in all translations. In other words, consistency guaranteed."

ELAN’s team is always there to answer small and big questions in the blink of an eye. Jurgen Croes: “For example, translations used to be delivered in Word. Then, ELAN was able to deliver the translated copy straight into our online publications. A huge time-saver for us and a fine example of how ELAN always brainstorms with us to make the translation process smoother and more efficient."
Cooperation with local proofreaders
Jurgen Croes is happy to provide another example. “We let our own native speakers check some of the translations. ELAN's project manager always delivers an .rtf file. which contains both the source and target language. This is extremely convenient, because it allows our local revisers to compare and make changes directly in the translation, which are also stored in the translation memory. Good for our peace of mind!"
